Chanel is a senior at Wayne State University in Detroit, MI majoring in public relations and minoring in print journalism and political science. She interns at the Detroit office of PR firm, Truscott Rossman. There she uses her writing and media skills to assist clients in various fields. Also, Chanel freelances and has multiple clients of her own.

Advocacy and social justice are Chanel's major interests. She serves for the National Action Network Michigan Chapter, assisting with youth and college programming.

Her background includes event planning and management, media relations, social advocacy and encouraging women.
​
In her free time, Chanel enjoys traveling, reading and spending time with family and friends.
